Mamak food at Shah Alam: Wa...which one?

Date: 30/3/2013
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Venue: Restaurant Syed, Seksyen 9

Assalammualaikum again. Today the RunningFood has decided to eat at someplace new! A mamak food stall! If you're one of those viewers that are scared of Mamak stalls because you've had a bad past about it.. no worries this restaurant will totally change your opinion of Mamak's stall both with its immaculate hygiene and equally delicious food.

SO... (drum roll please).. our guest today is very special...
Meet Jimmy and Imran!!
Apparently they are too busy to look at the camera... Imran's very infatuated with the menu. He's been going here since he was a child.... (look at that excited face of his)...its his favorite food!

Original Bukhara dishes

Indeed, he couldn't be wrong. I too was mesmerize by the menu. I knew i chose the right person to ask for the best Mamak stalls in Shah Alam.

Aww cute old Chinese couple
So today's mission will be done after dinner. Either way we were so famished at that time, I even forgot to tell them the reason why I invited them was to do missions with them. Haha...

Anyway, we called the waiter, and surprisingly he did not come with the normal pad and pen. All he brought was a Samsung S3 phone... o0oooooh! Even I don't have the money to buy that phone. Yet this waiter had it in his hand.
At first I thought maybe he was showing off his new phone je.. but then as we ordered he kept clicking respectively as we ordered... then we realized he using his phone to send orders to the chef..
THE SERVICE was awesome.. we had our Briyani Bukhara Ayam in under 5 minutes.

As we waited for our food, hygiene inspector Atiqah Bachik started patrolling around. I too had the phobia before this towards Mamak stalls. But this restaurant really changed my perspective. It was really clean!

Even they had multiple races coming in. In my definition, usually if its a 1 Malaysia restaurant, that means the food is really good.

So here's a little picture of our food and how we rate it:
Imam Muda Imran
Bukhara Briyani Ayam: 4/5
Jimmy makan slekeh

SO after we've finished eating comes the Mission at hand (GUESS THE PRICE):
  1. Each one of us estimate the total price of our food
  2. The one who has the closest price to the real price don't have to pay!
LOSER: Both of them have to pay for the meal

Verdict: RM49.99

The Winner was: Imran ( the Seksyen 9 child)
In the end, me and Jimmy had to pay for the food :(

Overall we rate the restaurant as:
Cleanliness: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Food: 4/5

Indeed this time around too even though we were friends of different gender, we had fun eating out together. It was engaging. We really bonded together. Indeed meal time is a time to get to know each. I got to know where Imran and Jimmy was from... I felt like I knew them in that 1 hour more than the past  4 weeks we've passed each other in class.

Okay, until next time then for more fun with delicious RunningFood!
